Hello there!

First of all, thank you for stopping by, and welcome to our brand new blog! For those of you who haven't heard of us yet (unlikely, but always possible, we suppose.....) we are the farm shop, at Ben's yard, in Ely, Cambridgeshire. We are passionate about all things food and drink, with our main focus being based around top quality butchery.



The idea of this social space is to take a deeper dive into the products we offer, our expertise and experience as butchers and retailers, and to raise awareness of local products, sustainability, and share hints and tips, as well as any shop related news. We love nothing more than to engage with our customers, and if you'd ever like to know more about something specific, please reach out to us, and we'll see what we can do!

 Welcome back! Time for another blog entry, this time it's all about steak.  It's a meat that causes innumerable debates, family feuds, and may have even started the odd war. We've no beef with a slow cooker!

Welcome to our humble blog :) We're hoping to use this platform to take a deeper dive into the products we supply, the story behind the farms, vineyards, breweries, to name but a few! We'll talk all sophisticatedly about the nose of a wine, it's depth of colour, type of grape, and by sourcing information from experts and along with our own impressions as wine amateurs (mostly) we'll hopefully arrive at a balanced review that caters to the connoisseurs as well as those that just enjoy a nice glass (or two) Another thing we'd like to do is share various recipes that we use ourselves to make the best of our meats and produce, and this is why we're here today.
